Welcome to the Wales YFC website. Wales YFC is a voluntary youth organisation that represents 6,000 young people in rural Wales. Although the name of the organisation refers to ‘Young Farmers', our members represent young people from all walks of life - so you don't need to be a farmer to be a member - in fact if your between 10 and 26 years old and want to live a little and learn a lot, then Wales YFC is most definitely for you! more...

YFC Freshers
Help get the new Wales YFC year off to a
flying start at the YFC freshers' weekend at Glyndwr University, Wrexham from
10 - 12 September.A Bavarian oompah band will play on the Friday
night and a there will be a YFC freshers' ball and casinio evening on the
Saturday night. A new chairman and vice chairman will be
elected during the AGM on the Saturday morning followed by a host of fun
activities and a chance to visit a north Wales wind farm.Tickets are £10 on the door each night or £15
for the whole weekend if ordered in advance from the Wales YFC office.
Scotland Junior Youth Camp
Wales YFC have been invited to attend the
Scotland Youth Camp which will be held from the 15 - 17 of October. The camp is
for members 18 and under. The cost will be £75 for accommodation etc but
transport will be extra. The camp will be an excellent opportunity to meet a

Proposed new logo for Wales YFC
At the recent Wales YFC Council meeting held in June members were presented with a proposed logo for Wales YFC. Members voiced their opinions on the new design and felt that a full consultation with the members should take place. The consultation began during the Royal Welsh Show week, where members had the opportunity to make comments on the current logo, the proposed logo or any ideas that they felt necessary. The consultation period will come to an end at the beginning of October. Click here to view the proposed logo and to make comments.
Launch of new ‘Young Innovator with natural Resources' competition
Today the Rural Affairs Minister, Elin Jones AM, will launch a new ‘Young Innovator with Natural Resources' competition at the Royal welsh Show; a follow on award to the highly successful Agri Environment Award that has been a part of the Royal Welsh Monday for the last 10 years.
Competition entrants must be 40 years old or under and the deadline for receiving applications will be early October 2010. Preliminary rounds of judging will he held in three different areas before the grand final Wales wide. The winners of the total of £3,000 prize money will be announced at the 2010 Royal Welsh Winter Fair in November this year. For an expression of interest form please click here.
Challenge Tim
The Wales YFC chairman up for a
challenge. Each of the twelve YFC county Federations in Wales have been asked
to set Tim John a challenge to raise money and awareness for the charity of the
year, Kidney Wales Foundation. Click here for more information.
Wales YFC Lamb Initiative
YFC Wales have
worked closely with Dunbia and Sainsbury's to develop the opportunity for Wales
YFC Members to supply nine Welsh Sainsbury stores with welsh lamb, 52 weeks of
the year, securing a premium price for the producer and a bonus payment for the
organization to support the members to further develop themselves. For
